Caipiroska with lime and kiwi






(Przepis po polsku)



This is one of my favourite drinks. It is sweet, sour and refreshing :). Hope you will also like it.







Recipe adapted from Monika w kuchni.



Ingredients for one drink:





50 ml vodka
25 cold apple juice
2 teaspoons golden syrup
half lime
1 kiwifruit
ice cubes





Method:



1. Pour boiling water on the lime. Peel the kiwi.

Drunken Apple Cake (Kuchen Borracho)






Recipe by Gaitri Pagrach-Chandra (from book "Warm bread and honey cake").


For the filling


1 1/2 pounds tart apples (about 6 medium-sized apples)
Generous 1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup heavy cream



For the cake

2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for the pan
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
11 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for the pan

Apple crumble with oats and almond flour






Crumble is one of the best comfort dishes. It is warm, sweet and simple to make.




Recipe addapted from "Bake" by Rachel AllenIngredients:


5 apples (I have used granny smith and gala)
1 tbsp water
2 tbsp sugar
75g plain flour
75g almond flour
2 tsp ground cinnamon
75g butter, chilled and cubed
30g porridge oats
75g sugar







Method:


1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas mark 4.

Polish vegetable salad






Ingredients:



Mayonnaise (try to buy Polish one from Winiary company. It tastes like home-made)

2 tablespoons mustard

3 large carrots

2 parsley-roots or parsnips

Half of celeriac

3 large hard-boiled eggs

1 can peas (or half a can of peas and half a can of corn)

Black pepper (salad must be spicy)

4 large Polish sour cucumbers (ogórki kiszone)

3 large potatoes

1 apple

TARTE TATIN




Tarte tatin was created in 1889 by Stephanie and Caroline Tatin. This tart is absolutely delicious. It is a must to try.
I have used Rachel Allen's recipe from "Bake" and little modified it.


Ingredients for soured cream shortcrust:

200 g plain flour, sifted
Pinch of salt
100 g chilled butter, cubed
1 egg yolk
1 tablespoon of soured cream
